So, yesterday was a pretty easy day. We started with Sugah’s side of a phone conversation. Matt and Frank needed to drink a 40 oz required for the scene. I felt kind of bad because it was so early. After that we dug the grave we are shooting at Saturday night. I was surprised at how easy it was to dig. It only took me, Frank and Matt 45 minutes to dig it. I was completely shockec that Matt helped dig, I knew Frank would because he probably thought it would be fun but Matt helped a lot as well. Overall, it was a good productive day. Today is a day off then tomorrow until next Saturday we film everyday… Wish us luck!
yesterday was an easy day…
June 17, 2010first few days of shooting done
June 16, 2010So were 4 days deep into filming!
First day went great! one of the smoother shoots we’ve ever had. We filmed at Ms. Cranston, Knightsville library, and St. James hardware. Great work by everyone!
Second day was great as well. Shot at Butterfields funeral home. David Graziano did a great job! Frank was naked in a funeral home for the movie, what a sweet ass! Hah
We need to reshoot a few scenes from the outside but we have a better idea of how to approach this.
Third day was a lot of fun. We shot at Angelo’s apartment during the day, which went well, just a few simple shots and scenes. Frank played with some toys.
Then we shot at 39 West which was friggen awesome! We had a ton of fun. Frank and Matt brought in a lot of extras. None of the people i invited came. It was a challenge but we were able to fake it so it seemed as if we were in a crowded bar. We met Sam Gabrielson who did a great job in her scene.
Today was a good day as well. First was a scene in St Annes Cemetery with Frank, Rich and Joey. It was a lot of fun. The shots look great! Chris Esper came up with an awesome shot that is one of the first shots of the film. It will be a great opening!
Followed by the big notional scene between Sam and I. It was really hard to get that serious after working and acting along side Frank so much. With Franks help, i was able to make it happen. Thanks, Frank.
Tomorrow is a quick scene with dukes as Sugah. Then off Thursday and the funeral parlor Friday night!! Getting excited to see this movie come together.
everything is almost in place…
June 8, 2010So filming is only 3 days away! Almost everything is in place for the whole film just a few final things left. Big BBQ to prepare for the film on Wednesday, celebrate before I work everyone to their deaths. I am hoping we have sufficient crew on the film because we have a few people but they are all very busy with work and everything. I am a nervous guy right now, Frank says to relax but I think he is relaxed enough for both of us. Wish me luck.
under a week away!
June 4, 2010Filming is getting very close. Next thursday we will start production! Our first day is a big one and includes not one but three big locations, the library, diner and hardware store. I hope it goes well…
I feel these are good scenes to start with because they are all Frank and I, plus he is staying over the night before so we can rehearse and prepare for our scenes.
I am most nervous about shots and the professionalism of the film. I just hope it turns out to be a good movie and that people enjoy watching it.
I am currently subbing high school right now, it’s awful! End of the year and the students think they can do anything they want. Usually, I am the nicest, easiest sub ever, but their lack of respect added to my stress from the approaching film has me getting mad. I just hope this movie goes well and I can don this for a living as stressful as filmmaking can be, if it was my job, I would be happy to have the stress.
Back to working on some planning. I still need to gather some last minute props and costumes which have been rather hard to get a hold of. Wish me luck!
planning and preparing every aspect of a film…
June 2, 2010It’s a lot of work having to plan out all aspects of the film. Having to get every prop, costume, location, actor and everything ready for the film shoot. I’ve been cataloging everything on my iPad and it’s been a big help. There’s so many locations in the new film, its hard to get them all prepared, willing and schedule them all. Plus all he actors, both big and small, its hard to get them to be on top of things and stay in touch with all of them. I hope everything goes well… Tomorrow while subbing I will do a lot more planning, and for now some storyboarding.
filming fast approaches…
June 1, 2010Hello everyone, this is Rich Camp, your fearless and unfired director of the upcoming feature comedy “Until Sprague Do We Part” which is a titled that will most likely change.
Filming is only 9 days away and the fear is building. So much has happened since Lumberjacking and it seems so long ago. Looking back that film was a LOT of work and this one stands to be a lot more. So many locations and so many more actors. I just want it to turn out well.
On a good note, I am very proud of the script and think it is very funny. I know if it all comes together, this will be a very entertaining film. I just hope people like it and this starts a career for everyone involved…
